Ženich / The Groom

Nepoměr představ a skutečnosti je zachycen také v obrazovém doprovodu knihy Kuniba má rád věci třikrát v podobě cyklu Ženich, na kterém Sam začala pracovat v roce 2011. Jde o svatební fotografie zakoupené v bazarech. Intimní obrazový recyklát postprodukčně upravila a přenesla úsměv z nevěsty na ženicha i svědka. Slavnostní situace svatby tak získává prapodivnou atmosféru genetické mutace, která naznačuje předchozí i budoucí vývoj, který je však v aktuálním čase neuvědomovaný.

The disconnect between imagination and reality is captured in the series The Groom, which forms the visual accompaniment for the book Kuniba Likes His Things to Be Triple. Sam began working on the series - wedding photographs purchased from second-hand shops - in 2011 by altering these intimate recycled images in order to transfer the bride's smile onto the groom and the rest of the wedding party. The celebratory situation of the wedding thus acquires a strange atmosphere of genetic mutation that hints at past and future events that currently remain unconscious.
